I had a mixed experience at Virginia Landing RV Campground. While the camp offers a peaceful escape with spacious sites, I did encounter some issues with facilities that need attention. The friendly hosts and the beautiful surroundings were definitely highlights.

Rooms

The full hookup sites were spacious, but they lacked shade and were mostly located in an open field. This made them a bit uncomfortable during hot weather.
Service
8.0
The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially when I arrived to find some site adjustments necessary due to the previous rain.
Location

While the campground is a bit off the beaten path, being at the end of the road makes it a quiet retreat, perfect for escaping the crowds during the weekdays.
Dining
5.0
There weren't many dining options nearby, as shopping was a good 15-20 miles away. I would recommend being prepared with food or planning ahead.
Facilities
5.0
The bathrooms seemed outdated and hot with little airflow, which was disappointing during my stay. There were enough amenities, but they need some updating.

I really enjoyed my stay at Virginia Landing RV Campground. The peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty were a huge highlight, but there were some issues with amenities that left something to be desired. Overall, it's a great spot for those looking for tranquility away from the hustle and bustle.

Rooms

The sites were level and grassy, though I noted that they could get messy in wet conditions. I appreciated the clean picnic table on a solid concrete pad.
Service
9.0
The staff was friendly and very helpful, especially when they informed me about the tornado watch. They seemed genuinely concerned for everyone's safety.
Location
7.0
The location is quite remote, which was just what I was looking for. However, it's quite a haul from the nearest services, so I recommend stocking up beforehand.
Dining
5.0
I didn't dine at the campground as there weren't many options nearby, but I brought food along which worked perfectly for my needs.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were very dated and could use some upgrades. The bathhouses weren't as clean as I would have liked, and the lack of fire rings at each site was puzzling.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Virginia Landing RV Campground. The scenic views offered a serene atmosphere that I truly appreciated, and the staff was quite friendly and helpful. However, I noticed that many of the amenities, including the cabins, seemed to be in need of repair and updating, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the natural beauty is a major draw, but the campground itself could benefit from some investment to enhance the experience.

The cabin I stayed in was spacious and boasted a lovely screened-in porch that allowed me to soak in beautiful sunrises over the water. However, it did feel like it needed some renovations, which impacted my overall comfort.
Service

The staff was excellent and went out of their way to assist me, which made my stay more enjoyable. Their friendliness really stood out to me.
Location

The location is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. I loved the serene walks and stunning views of sunrises and sunsets. It's relatively remote, though, being about 15 miles from nearby towns.
Dining

While I didn't eat at the campground, I did visit a nearby restaurant in Wachapreague called the Island House, which was enjoyable. However, dining options near the campground were limited.
Facilities

The campground's amenities felt somewhat lacking. Many areas, including the docks and game room, showed signs of wear and were not well maintained. The swimming pool was nice, but I could have used more shaded areas.

Virginia Landing RV Campground provided a beautiful and peaceful getaway, especially with its gorgeous lakeside views among tall pine trees. I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxation, though I did wish for more amenities for children. The campground had limited common areas that seemed to need some updating, but overall, the natural beauty made my stay worthwhile. 🏕️🌲

During my stay at Virginia Landing RV Campground, I appreciated the well-kept grounds and nice pool, although I found the amenities and overall experience lacking. The remote location allowed for peaceful surroundings, but the lack of shade and overwhelming presence of bugs made it quite uncomfortable.

The RV sites varied, with some shaded areas but many lacking important hookups. My first night was without a sewer hookup, and I had to move the camper the next day. I also noticed the condition of the sites wasn't the best, with many being just grass.
Service
5.0
The staff I encountered were friendly and efficient, but the lack of visibility and assistance was frustrating, especially when I had trouble accessing the campground upon arrival.
Location
5.0
The campground is remote and away from town (which can be nice), but it also meant a trek for supplies. The fishing pier was damaged, and the shoreline was marshy, making it difficult to fish.
Dining
5.0
There were no dining options on-site, and the nearest store was quite a distance away. I wish there was a camp store to grab essentials.
Facilities
5.0
While the pool was clean, it was quite a walk from the main RV area. The lack of furniture around the pool and the rickety ladder were a letdown. The mini golf course was not worth my time, sadly.
